Accordion lessons

Patient, personalized instruction.

From foundational bellows technique to advanced repertoire — we meet you where you are and tailor every lesson to how you learn.

What lessons look like

Private 60-minute lessons, conducted in our Seattle studio or remotely over Zoom — both formats use the same curriculum and the same care. We recommend one lesson per week so practice has time to settle between sessions while progress stays steady.

Every new student is welcome to a reduced-rate 30-minute introductory lesson for $40. It's a chance to play together, talk about goals, and decide whether ongoing lessons are the right fit.

What we cover

  • Bellows technique & control
  • Custom arrangements built around what you want to play
  • Repertoire across folk, polka, musette, tango, classical, and contemporary pop
  • Music theory, rhythm, and sight reading
  • Preparation for duets, ensembles, bands, and community groups
  • Workshops, regional festivals, and competitions for advanced students

Who we teach

Accordion students of all ages — from curious beginners to seasoned players. We particularly love working with adult learners and with beginners, because having a teacher early matters: it's much easier to build good habits than to undo bad ones.
